🥳 Peer 2 Peer Markets — Now LIVE!

“Bear markets are the best time to build” isn’t just a saying — it’s exactly what we’ve been doing! Our Peer 2 Peer Markets are now live on mainnet with AMM markets coming soon.

Why Peer 2 Peer markets? We were inspired by the, now infamous, $1,000,000 $LUNA bet between @AlgodTrading and @stablekwon in which @cobie was chosen as the trusted escrow.

What was our goal? We wanted to build a platform where anyone could create, participate and resolve binary markets on anything. Our Peer 2 Peer markets allow anyone to create a market with whatever odds they choose, select any resolving wallet they would like and for one or many wallets to fund the other side of that market. When a market is resolved winners will be able to claim their original funds plus winnings. This allows various participants to get paid out without the chosen resolver, or a central person escrowing, manually sending out funds to each of the winning wallets 🎉.

Don’t worry, even if your size is not size, you can still create or join a market! Choose your denomination, size, odds and assign any Solana wallet as the resolver (you don’t have to use Cobie). You can also fund the other side of already created markets partially or in full.

The benefits of our Peer 2 Peer markets are:

1. You don’t have to rely on liquidity providers to determine your size
2. If a market is not fully funded all depositors can withdraw their funds
3. Anyone can create and share markets
4. To launch there are no fees

How does a market work? For the above market a user is putting the odds that there won’t officially be a recession at 40% ($1500 USDC on NO with a max payout of $3750). You can see that the ‘NO’ side is fully funded by the market creator. This happens at the time they create the market and others may fund the ‘YES’ side which currently has no funding, $0 USDC out of $2250 USDC total. As long as this market gets the full $2250 USDC by June 30th, 2022 at 11:59pm it will become a valid market. If it fails to get fully funded then the market will become invalid and any deposits may be withdrawn from the market. If you don’t like the above odds or want to create a market and fund the ‘NO’ side you may create another market with different odds on the same topic and choose the size that suits you!
